Welcome to the Land Records Viewer. This site is hosted by the FGDC Cadastral Subcommittee and contains the states, counties, and cities that we know of that are serving land records information. In addition we have the federal and state agency contacts for cadastral information by state.

If you would like to bookmark the viewer, you need to bookmark this page since the viewer itself will not come up properly if you bookmark the page with the map.

You will need to turn off any pop up blocker on your Internet browser to see the information about sites or cadastral contacts.

Land Record Inventory Data :

The viewer presents three layers of data: Cities, Counties & States. You may use the query tools, , , & to find GIS/Land Records websites, GIS contacts and summaries of the 2002 and 2005 National Parcel Data Inventory.

	City - Any city that has GIS/Land Records websites.
	County - Any county that has GIS/Land Records websites.
	State - Any state that has GIS/Land Records websites.

View GIS/Land Records Websites:

- State: To view a list of GIS and Land Records websites for a given state :

• Click the "Active" button in front of States.
• Click the button on the toolbar to the left of the map.
• Click the state on the map for which you would like more information.
• A pop-up window will appear displaying the URLs associated with that state, its counties and cities.
  

- County: To view a list of GIS and Land Records websites for a given county :

• Click the "Active" button in front of Counties.
• Click the button on the toolbar to the left of the map.
• Click the county on the map for which you would like more information.
• A pop-up window will appear displaying the URLs associated with that county only.
  

- City: To view a list of GIS and Land Records websites for a given city :

• Click the "Active" button in front of Cities.
• Click the button on the toolbar to the left of the map.
• Click the city on the map for which you would like more information.
• A pop-up window will appear displaying the URLs associated with that city only.

View State GIS Contacts:

- State: To view a list of GIS and Land Records websites for a given state :

• Click the button on the toolbar to the left of the map.
• Click the state on the map for which you would like a list of GIS Contacts..
• A pop-up window will appear displaying the Individuals' Names and contact information.
  

View 2002 or 2005 Survey Summary:

- 2002/2005 Survey: To view a summary by state of the National Parcel Data Inventory Survy:

• Click the button on the toolbar to the left of the map, choose betwwen the 2002 or 2005 inventory.
• Click the state on the map for which you would like a survey summary.
• A pop-up window will appear displaying the state's information.
  

Website FAQ:

• This site must be viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher.
• It will take some time to download the initial site.
• Save this page in your favorites list. Do not save (bookmark) the map viewer page as this will not refresh the system properly.
• If you are having problems with the site, please contact Karen Holt. In your message, include the following information.
• Type of browser and version number. (eg. IE 5.5, IE 6.0)
• Describe in as much detail as possible what you were doing before the problem occurred; which tool you were using (eg. zoom, identify, zoom to township/range) , what data you were viewing.
• Copy and paste any error messages you may have received into your message.
• If you are requesting a functionality enhancement, describe how it will help this system.
• If you find a feature confusing, please describe how we can make it easier to understand.
